Back Pain

Back pain is often the result of the misalignments in the spine which put pressure on a spinal nerve. Frequently caused by muscle spasm or strain, these segments of the spine are referred to as subluxations. These subluxations can be the result of muscle imbalance from the supporting structure to the pelvis, low back, or shoulders.

Using muscle testing, kinesiology assists Dr. Widen in identifying the specific spinal vertebrae that needs correction. Correction of the muscle imbalance will most likely bring immediate relief. It is important to find the cause of the muscle imbalance to ensure a long lasting correction.

Lower Back

Many lower back problems, especially those correlating with pain down the back of the leg, are the result of trauma to the invertebral disc. The invertebral disc works on a hydraulic principle, providing motion between the vertebrae.

There are three basic intervertebral disc problems. The method of treatment varies, as does the outlook for improvement.Ý To avoid intervertebral disc problems a Kinesiologist can treat the degenerated, protruded, or herniated intervertebral disc.

Kinesiology has helped Dr. Widen with his own back problems. "I had seven years of low back pain and all other forms of alternative medical care didn't work," he said. Now, his pain has been eliminated by Kinesiology treatment.

Herniated Disc

A frequent cause of low back pain and disability are herniated discs. Kinesiology testing combined with Chiropractic adjustments have proven to provide tremendous relief for the patient, and often substantial correction of this dysfunction without surgery and prescription drugs.
